Croton plants can be easily multiplied by taking stem cuttings, but for each cutting you wish to root, you will also need a small plant pot, regular potting soil, clean pruners or shears, and optional rooting hormone.

How Do Croton Plants Grow in Soil?

Step 1: Add potting soil to the containers. To thoroughly hydrate the soil, water it.

Step 2: From the mother plant to be divided for further growth, cut a few strong stems. Trim stems to a length of four inches or less, and then take off all leaves.
